On October 26, 2018, a jury returned a verdict of guilty against former Rep. James “Jim” Harrison for two counts of Misconduct in Office and one count of Perjury.  The jury deliberated for five hours before returning a verdict after the week long trial. After the verdict was delivered, the Judge sentenced the Defendant to 18 months in prison.

The Defendant was prosecuted by Solicitor David Pascoe as part of the ongoing State Grand Jury public corruption probe. The investigation was led by Major Richard Gregory and Lt. Jeremy Smith of SLED.
